The hermetic seal of Dye Solar Cells is one of the most crucial parts of the assembly. Solaronix has selected materials demonstrating excellent chemical compatibility with all the other components of Dye Solar Cells. The cast films made from these remarkable polymers can be used to easily cut out sealing gaskets. After a heat sealing process, such a gasket ensures a perfect confinement of the electrolyte in the Dye Solar Cell. We found ourself using our Meltonix products for many years, proving their stability and durability. Up to now, thicknesses of 25 or 60 microns were available.
Now Solaronix introduces Meltonix 1170-100, a 100 microns thick sealing film. Meltonix 1170-100 benefits from the expertise and all the acclaimed features of our existing Meltonix products, while providing an additional possibility for tuning the interstice between the electrodes of Dye Solar Cells. Meltonix 1170-100PF also with a protection foil one one side, affording an enhanced sealing process in two steps instead of one.
With three thicknesses available, 25, 60 and 100 microns, coupled with the optional protection foil for each of them, the Meltonix product line from Solaronix now provides an even more comprehensive set of sealing choices to the Dye Solar Cell community.
